News and Notices
Mark and Rosalie Balfour

Our mission partners, Mark and Rosalie Balfour, are moving to Cornwall from Guatemala, where they have been working for CMS for several years. Mark is to be Rector of St Illogan  - a parish in the west of Cornwall. They are starting more or less from scratch, with setting up home in the UK again, so to help them, there's a list of things which church members could donate, if you happen to have one spare. Here's a link to the list, which gives further info - take a look and please 'reserve' anything you're able to donate. https://www.thingstogetme.com/1134747ac27e2

Living Out Evening with Revd Sean Doherty

Application period—opens 3 June 2024; closes 16 June 2024 (Summer), 23 June 2024 (Gap Year)

This is a great resource for connect group leaders or if you just want to look deeper into some of the healthy habits we have looked at.

Joshua Glover Fundraiser
Jo Witchard along with Joshua's mum Ali will be doing a Skydive in June to help raise money for the Glover family! For more information and to give please click here.

St Andrew's After School Club
At St Andrew's we are excited to be opening our drop-in after school club from September this year. The club will run on Wednesdays from 3:15pm-4:45pm and will offer a range of games, crafts and activities for children as well as refreshments and a space to catch up for parents and carers. We would love to welcome families from St Andrew's to come and join our after school club. We are also in need of two teams of volunteers to alternate with helping with the group fortnightly. This would mainly involve helping to set up and pack down as well as building relationships with the families who come through conversations with both children and adults! For more information or to volunteer, contact Kate by emailing children@stastb.church.

If you would like to include any updates in the weekly bulletin, send them to Adam. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday at 1pm.

Giving at St Andrew's and St Bartholomew's
Generous giving is an integral part of Christian discipleship. The apostle Paul says that giving is a primary responsibility for Christians: 'But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Cor 8:7. For more information on how to give and where your money goes please download our giving flyer here.

Pastoral Care
As part of our Christian community, we provide mutual support for one another. Much of this happens informally with friends within the church and through the connect groups. However, sometimes people will require more personal support and encouragement either as a 'one-off chat' or on a more ongoing basis. We have a pastoral care team who can provide this type of care. Please contact Nigel Roe (Team Leader) on 07780 994827 or Rosi White on 07426 357967.
