Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility within our church. Our church is committed to creating a safe and caring community where children and vulnerable adults can be protected from harm or abuse and where concern can be expressed and responded to openly and promptly. We are committed to safely recruit, train and support all those with any responsibility for children, young people and adults to have the confidence and skills to recognise and respond to abuse. When volunteers are safely recruited, you are required to attend safeguarding training (usually online) which varies depending on your role. Your team leader is responsible for ensuring you are safely recruited in line with Diocesan and Church of England guidelines.
You can view our safeguarding policy below, additional information is available on the Diocese website: https://www.gloucester.anglican.org/about-us/safeguarding/
