For those who missed it on Sunday please can you take the time to view Christopher's presentaation on the current church financial situation. This can be done by clicking here.

Parish Safeguaring Officer
As a larger church, we want to prioritise creating a safe and nurturing environment for those of all ages who come to St Andrews. In order to continue doing this to the best of our ability, we need a second volunteer safeguarding officer to work alongside our current PSO, Corinne Phillimore. We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills who is passionate about ensuring everyone who comes to St Andrew's feels safe and welcome. The role will involve developing and implementing key safeguarding procedures and updating our safeguarding database as we work together to ensure every team member has the relevant training and checks they need. For more information, please speak to Corinne Phillimore or email safeguarding@stastb.church

Joint Men's and Women's Breakfast
you are invited to a special joint men and women's breakfast on Saturday 13th July. We will be thinking about walking with God through change. It will be a great opportunity to explore how God takes us through change and what we can do to support each other during times of major change. There will be the usual full English breakfast. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we will cater for them. We will start at 9am and finish by 1030am. You can sign up here.

Baptisms - 7th July
Whether you're considering baptism or simply want to witness this special moment, we invite you to be a part of our community on this joyous occasion. If you're interested in getting baptised yourself, don't hesitate to reach out to our office for more information. The address for the Baptisms is Oakle House, Oakle StreetChurcham, Glos, GL2 8AG, United Kingdom and will be taking place 4pm -7pm with the main service happening 5pm-6pm. We would love it if people would lift share to reduce emissions. The pool will be available for church family to use before and after baptism service. To avoid overcrowding 11 year olds and younger before the service 4pm to 5pm (parents to supervise). 12 year olds and above after the service.

Save the date - Impact Weekend
We have decided to rebrand the church weekend and home to "Impact Weekend" more information will follow in the coming weeks but for now save the date 20th-22nd September 2024.

Request for Lift to 9am Service
An elderly gentleman in Hucclecote is seeking a lift to the 9 o'clock service. This may not be a weekly requirement. If you can assist, please contact Nigel at 07780 994827 for more details.

YFC Fundraiser - Matt Craig
Youth for Christ Gloucestershire desires to see young people's lives changed by Jesus and we rely on fundraising to enable our work to continue and expand.
In the coming months, I will be completing five challenges as part of our 50thanniversary year. I am walking from Tewkesbury Abbey to Gloucester Cathedral, cycling 100 miles in a day, walking 23.6 miles around the outskirts of Gloucester, rowing 197.4 km in 24 hours as part of a small team and finally running the Cheltenham Half Marathon!
I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me by clicking on the link below and help me smash my target so that our work can continue and we can see many more young people have their lives changed by Jesus.https://www.stewardship.org.uk/pages/Matt2024 More details can be found on our website www.yfcgloucestershire.co.uk

Kintsugi Hope Mental Wellness Course
We are running a free mental wellness course in September called Kintsugi Hope. It aims to encourage emotional well-being and community support. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold to create something more beautiful than before, Kintsugi Hope emphasises that our struggles and brokenness can lead to greater strength and beauty.
Date of Launch: September 4th
For more information on Kintsugi Hope visit, www.kintsugihope.org alternatively feel free to get in touch with the office.

If you would like to include any updates in the weekly bulletin, send them to Adam. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday at 1pm.

Mark and Rosalie Balfour Update
Hello – we are Mark and Rosalie Balfour whom you have been supporting as a church as mission partners while we have been living and working in Guatemala in Central America. After just over 7 years there, we have returned to the UK to be based in West Cornwall, where Mark will be taking up the post of Rector of St Illogan on 1st August.

We will be with you at the morning services on Sunday 30th June to say thank you for walking with us and supporting us for all these years.

We have felt a missional pull to Cornwall for a very long time, but when we visited you all last summer we had no notion of moving away from Guatemala and were not looking for anything else: we were enjoying being part of the work developing there with Street Kids Direct and also supporting people in Honduras. However, at the end of November this job in Illogan was advertised and we both felt a nudge – well, more of a push really – from the Holy Spirit to apply.

That part of Cornwall is among the most economically deprived in the UK and engaging with those in poverty is a priority for the local church. We are excited – and sometimes feel a bit daunted – by the challenge ahead, and it has not been easy to leave so many friends in Guatemala and Honduras but we are sure of Jesus's call in this next step on our journey with him.

We would greatly value your continued prayers as we begin in Cornwall and look forward to sharing with you in the future of what the Lord is doing. (For those going to New Wine this year, we will be camping with you – so thank you, in advance, for including us in that.)

Giving at St Andrew's and St Bartholomew's
Generous giving is an integral part of Christian discipleship. The apostle Paul says that giving is a primary responsibility for Christians: 'But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Cor 8:7. For more information on how to give and where your money goes please download our giving flyer here.

Pastoral Care
As part of our Christian community, we provide mutual support for one another. Much of this happens informally with friends within the church and through the connect groups. However, sometimes people will require more personal support and encouragement either as a 'one-off chat' or on a more ongoing basis. We have a pastoral care team who can provide this type of care. Please contact Nigel Roe (Team Leader) on 07780 994827 or Rosi White on 07426 357967.

Scrub up! Why not consider changing your toothbrush to a bamboo handled toothbrush, using shampoo and conditioner bars rather than plastic bottles or natural sponge or loofah instead of plastic fibrous sponge.
