News and Notices
Youth and Children's Summer Provision
During the summer term, we will be taking a short break from our regular children's and youth groups to give our volunteers a much-needed rest. This means that until September 8th, we will not be running any youth groups on Sunday mornings. There will also be no regular groups for children. However, we will still provide supervised activities after the first 30 minutes of the service, except on all-age Sundays. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Request for 2 or 3-Man Tents and a Volleyball Net
As you may be aware, we are taking over 35 young people to the youth festival called Satellites. We are currently in need of 2 or 3-man tents for this event. Additionally, we are looking to borrow a volleyball net to enhance our activities at the festival. If you have any tents or a volleyball net that you can lend or donate, please let us know by contacting Jamie on jamie@stastb.church. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
New PayAz Machine
You will see that we have a new arrival of the Welcome Desk. A contactless PayAz machine has joined the church family. If you would like to make a one-off donation to the running of our church, simply select the amount and tap'n go. There are 4 suggested amounts to choose from or alternatively you can input a figure of your choice.
Kintsugi Hope Mental Wellness Course
We are running a free mental wellness course in September called Kintsugi Hope. It aims to encourage emotional well-being and community support. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold to create something more beautiful than before, Kintsugi Hope emphasises that our struggles and brokenness can lead to greater strength and beauty.
Date of Launch: September 11th. For more information on Kintsugi Hope visit, www.kintsugihope.org alternatively feel free to get in touch with the office.
Space To Live In - Save the Date
Our next worship night "Space To Live In" will be taking place on the 1st of September starting at 7 pm and running through to 9 pm. Space To Live In is a night of extended worship, prayer, reflection and waiting. We aim to create a Space for people to spend time in God's presence. This will be replacing our usual Encounter service that day.
After School Club
St Andrews is excited to be opening our drop-in after-school club from September this year on Wednesdays from 3:15pm-4:45pm. We need two teams of volunteers to alternate with helping with the group fortnightly. This would mainly involve helping to set up and pack down as well as building relationships with the families who attend through crafts, games and most importantly conversations with both children and adults! For more information or to volunteer, contact Kate by emailing children@stastb.church
Summer Holiday Activity Morning
St Andrews Under The Sea Activities morning will be taking place on Wednesday 7thAugust. This is a drop off event for children aged 4-11 and we encourage you to invite and bring along your friends for a fantastic morning of crafts, games, pirate puppets, water experiments, miraculous Bible stories and more! To find out more or to volunteer, email Kate on children@stastb.church or you can sign up on Churchsuite using this link: Under the Sea Activities Morning (07-Aug-2024) · ChurchSuite Events

Giving at St Andrew's and St Bartholomew's
Generous giving is an integral part of Christian discipleship. The apostle Paul says that giving is a primary responsibility for Christians: 'But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 2 Cor 8:7. For more information on how to give and where your money goes please download our giving flyer here.

Pastoral Care
As part of our Christian community, we provide mutual support for one another. Much of this happens informally with friends within the church and through the connect groups. However, sometimes people will require more personal support and encouragement either as a 'one-off chat' or on a more ongoing basis. We have a pastoral care team who can provide this type of care. Please contact Nigel Roe (Team Leader) on 07780 994827 or Rosi White on 07426 357967.
